Mondo Motors makes at 1/43rd a very chip base for being pimped. The original model has not at all interior trims (doors panel and so on) so I had to "sacrifice" another coupé for fill in in the lack of those details. This is the reason why the interior is black. Finally, after a two tone shiny paint and on 20 inches rims, it looks pretty good.

the yellow one is the DeAgostini 1/43rd base |
If we are searching Wikipedia for "Checker Marathon" we will find this :" The Checker Marathon was an automobile produced by the Checker Motors Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan between 1961 and 1982. Marathons were produced in both four-door sedan and four-door Station wagon forms, and the rare eight-door, 12-seater "Aerobus" wagon."
It is obvious that this car is very well known as the New York yellow cab. But it was sold also as personal vehicle. DeAgostini produces this model at 1/43rd scale (die-cast) as Yellow Cab. But I didn't resist to customise one of this models, turning it in a low big chromed wheels car.
