BMW i8 | rollin'low

Hello friends,

a little brake in my Dacia building. 

I bought this little i8 made by Rastar @1/24 scale due to its proportions. I don't know if it is really 24th scale but the proportions are so good. The model in the shelf is awesome.

Also the quality of fabrication is not bad at all. A set of 2o inch rims and a little bit of stance made it an eye catching model. I choose to maintain the original pain except the front and rear end where I putted flat black instead if the body color element on the original model.

But let's see what happen...

panamera | dodg(e)y style

Several years ago, if somebody told me there are a four doors luxury front engine sedan called Panamera and made by Porsche, I would look him as being a good humour person.
But if we remember the year 1988 when Porsche presented the 989 concept, I would think twice.
Now, in 2014 the Panamera has its celebrity and its place in the automotive history.
There are several model makers who made it at 1|18 as well as 1|24.
One of the most affordable is made by Maisto at 1|18^th scale.
Mine has suffered some modifications (as I use to do) and he has now a look of real VIP car.

f10 | VIP

The sixth generation of the BMW 5 series, the F10, debuted 23 November 2009 as a 2010 model. The Station Wagon/Touring version carries the chassis code F11. The model below is a 1/24 die cast by Welly @ 1|24. The quality of the model is good, surprisingly good, in this price segment of die-cast replicas. And this is a good thing for the collectors, and turns the Welly models in affordable tuning bases.

The Welly replica of F10 reproduces the 535i model (3o6 PS @ 5800 and 4oo Nm @ 12oo-5ooo), the only identifying detail being the under hood plastic molded part. Having several separate parts, the 3D effect is more natural, comparing with the Maisto/Bburago engine compartments.

I decided to turn it in a VIP car, this type of conversion being not often meet in the daily life. So, all it needs is on the car: front lip, duck tail luggage hood, big rims and hydraulic suspension. Not very good for an scale model, I decided to make the interior full black leather because with the "estoril blau" exterior colour, is sick combination!

Toyota Crown Victoria | VIP

VIP Style refers to the modification of Japanese luxury automobiles to make them lower in stance and wider looking with wide aggressive wheels, suspension, and body kits. VIP Style is typically large, expensive, rear-wheel drive sedans, though automotive enthusiasts use other cars like minivans and Kei cars. Once associated with the yakuza, VIP Style modifications now are a subset of automotive modification.(text from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIP_style). I love the stance of these cars.

Aoshima makes a series of 1/24^th scale VIP cars. Modern as well as ‘80s. One of those cars I decided to build. The car is almost OOB (Out Of the Box) except the front bumper grille and the exhaust tips tips (shorter than the originals). The box art, as you can see, indicates a black stance car. I decide to use a “en vogue” colour, metallized burgundy. The rims are “star grey”, colour from an automotive pain pallet, with chromed lips. The interior is Leather Light Brown with wood accessories (a real VIP car needs an expensive interior, also).
