cessna | 172

Hello friends,
It’s a while since I don’t post on my blog.
And the reason is the summer holiday.
But in spite of the holiday trips I made, I get some time to stay to my workbench.
OK, so let’s come back to our models.
Most of us started with building planes in childhood. In fact if we search on net about scale modelling we’ll find mainly military and aviation. Those two fields are the most popular, in my opinion regarding building scale models.
If it is like this I questioned myself “why not?”. And I built a Cessna 172 at 1/48th scale. The maker of the kit is PM and the execution is very good (in my opinion as car builder)
This plane is my childhood image about the planes. I loved to build it and I putted a lot of passion on making it.
The decoration and the side number are 100% imaginary and any resemblance to actual airplane is accidentally happen.
Enough talking, just look at the pictures below:

F3o | so Kitty

Hello modelling mates,
It's a quiet afternoon and I’m in the countryside, away from the "daily dynamic" world !
I take this opportunity and I share with you one of my last modified car.
It is about a BMW F3o by WELLY @ 1/24th scale, original red, turned into a Hello Kitty sticker bomb car.
Few words about Hello Kitty concept found on Wikipedia :
Hello Kitty (ハローキティ Harō Kiti) (full name Kitty White (キティ・ホワイト Kiti howaito) is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, first designed by Yuko Shimizu. She is portrayed as a female white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow. The character's first appearance on an item, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974 and brought to the United States in 1976. The character is a staple of the kawaii segment of Japanese popular culture. At age 36 as of 2010, Sanrio has groomed Hello Kitty into a global marketing phenomenon worth $5 billion a year. By 2014, when Hello Kitty was 40 years old, it was doing $7 billion a year, all without any advertising. (source : Hello Kitty. (2014, July 22). In Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Retrieved 08:07, August 4, 2014, from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hello_Kitty&oldid=617964623)
I used for this project nail decals arranged an stick'em piece by piece.
Lowering the ride height, new rims (Cup Tramont) different colors, new exhaust pipes, and so on, are mandatory for a modified car.
The work took me full two afternoons.
Here is the result:

The interior is also „so Kitty” : full white with red srips and a Hello Kitty on each seat :

Even in the engine bay we can not forget about Kitty, too :

That’s something different in my collection, but at least I can prove that I'm not a misogynist!
