24o ZG | Japanese Fighter

The model is finished, now, so I want to share with you some photos with this daily street fighter car. First of all I want to share some dimensional data. I was amazed to see how small is the real car! The wheelbase measures 2,305 mm. For having an idea, the VW's Golf Mk I has 2,400 mm. The height of the car is 1,283 mm which means several centimetres more than the wrist of an 1,800 mm tall guy. The width of the car is 1,626 mm (2 centimetres wider than the Golf's Mk I - 1,600mm).
The ZG version has a specific nose which was sold only inside Japan, more aerodynamic than normal Z nose. Outside Japan, the dealers sold the "G" front-end as optional modification kit. It was known as "G-nose". It's not necessary to pass in review all the modifications I made, just enjoy the ride! Just you have to know that the work takes two month of dayly work (2 hours - average - a day)

24o ZG | Japanese Fighter | the interior

The interior is planned to be nor 1oo% racing neither 1oo% street. Following this concept, some modification were made. First of all, the inner door panels were removed. and replaced by some custom made panels.
The driver's seat will be a racing one. Not brand new, but used: you can see the damage on its right side:

The passenger seat gets the Jap Fighter theme on its back as you can see.
A lot of other details are present all over the interior. I let you discover them by yourself:

24o ZG | Japanese Fighter | the body

Looking at the Japanese Fighters paint schemes, the only variant I like is the silver one with the red dot.
So, will be silver!
The body provided by the maker is the ordinary one, the over fenders being provided as option in the kit.

As you saw, the big rims I made, doesn’t get into the arches without looking like an A6 Allroad!
So, I have to cut off the body to make some room for the wheels. In the same time I worked a little to opening of the fuel flap.

What I get is an enormous room for the wheels (you can easily see the volume I get for the wheels):

On the wheels the car looks like this (you remember the photo I posted in “the stance” chapter):

Now the body is ready to be finished:
-Bare metal foil
-AeroMaster decals (1/48 )
-Metal stickers (thank you Hasegawa for this goodies!)
-Some decent weathering (detail photo soon)
